Privacy policy

This is a translation for convenience. The German Datenschutzerklärung is authoritative.

In short: this website sets no cookies, uses no tracking and no analytics, and loads nothing from third parties. We even serve the fonts ourselves. The only data processed is the technically necessary server log files.

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by an external provider: Hetzner Online GmbH (servers in Germany), Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The host only processes data to the extent necessary to provide its services, and on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR).

When you visit the site, the server automatically collects and stores information that your browser transmits, in so-called server log files:

We need this data to deliver the website securely and reliably and to detect errors or attacks. It is not combined with other data sources and is not used for marketing. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in operating the website securely. Log files are deleted after 30 days at the latest.

3. No cookies, no tracking

We do not set cookies or store any information on your device. There is no audience measurement, no advertising pixels, no social media plugins and no embedded third-party content. That’s why there is no cookie banner. This applies to tavolynx.com; for the linked request form see section 5.

4. Contact by email

If you email us, for example via the “Request a pilot slot” or “15-minute call” links, we process the information you provide (such as name, email address and message) to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry concerns a potential collaboration, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete the data once it is no longer needed, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

5. Request form for investors and partners

The “Investors & partners” page links to a request form. It is not embedded in this website but opens at app.cierra.ai. There, cierra GmbH processes your details (name, company, email address, optionally phone and ticket size, your message) in its own system Cira OS to answer your request, arrange a conversation and, where applicable, prepare a confidentiality agreement and access to documents. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to a collaboration) and your consent in the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future. Cira OS runs on Hetzner Online GmbH servers in Germany; app.cierra.ai is delivered through the network of Cloudflare, Inc., which processes technical connection data such as your IP address on our behalf. When you open the form, app.cierra.ai sets technically necessary cookies for secure submission. We delete the data once it is no longer needed, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

6. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in your browser’s address bar.

7. Your rights

Within the limits of the law, you have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). Please contact datenschutz@cierra.ai.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony, which is responsible for us.

8. About the product

This policy covers this website only. Separate privacy information, agreed with each venue, applies to the operation of Tavolynx lights in a restaurant.
